Really there is not much to say...went to the George Strait concert last night.....what can I say but, AMAZING!! King George is one of the few that gets better looking and sounding with age so I'll just leave it at that....sigh.

I'll save all my ranting about driving drunk, sunburn pealing, crazy driving, and my new theories about life for another time...haha...lets just all savor this moment with George.

McKay Dee

Most of you know that I recently transferred to McKay Dee from IMC. I started orienting there 2 weeks ago and now I'm offically ready to be on my own (even though I've been doing the exact same thing for 9 months already). Anyway, I still work on the postpartum (mother/baby) unit, which I still love! Everything is basically the same from IMC, except a few little things that I felt comfortable with in a matter of minutes. This move is a good one for many reasons...1- Instead of a 35 min commute I now only have a 15-20 min one. 2-The shifts are 5pm-5am, which works out better for school and such. At IMC I worked 7pm-7am. So by the time I got home I might as well just stay up and go to my class at 10am instead of being groggy....of course those that know me know that most of the time I just ended up skipping class because at that point I had usually been up for more than 24 hours! So the 5 to 5's will be great because most of my classes in the fall dont even start until 11am, so I'll actually get some sleep. 3-It sure has a better view than IMC ever did. I'd much rather see a beautiful fountain than the trax train when I look out the window. 4- I can get over time without feeling like its a sin. 5- When my friends have their babies here, I'll be able to take care of them now!!

So even though there are all these good things about transferring to McKay, I still am finding it hard to enjoy working here. I miss my friends at IMC, but I am making new ones here. I guess it will just take time (like any other job) to feel comfortable and in sync with every one else. But so far its been an okay decision. It can only get better!

Koda!

Okay...most of you know that my dad and I have wanted a puppy for a long time, but my mom would not hear of it. Well today we saw some puppies for sale so we inquired about them. Of course mom said no at first. So Holly and I called back up....Todd and Kathleen said they would go in on the puppy...especially since he was so cheap compared to what most dogs sell for. So we all ganged up on her and she actually went for it. And just like we knew she would, she fell in love with him as soon as we brought him home. He's adorable. Kath wanted to name him Koda and we did. He is almost 8 weeks old, a lab/springer spaniel mix. So cute!! We love him already and he's been so well behaved, hopefully it will continue! Koda was bred to be a duck hunting dog so of course the boys are ecstatic to train him to go with them..we'll see if they actually do it. haha. Until then we are going to enjoy his cute puppiness!!

2006 Mazda 3 For Sale

I'm selling my car. Here are the details. 06 Mazda 3. Body is in great condition as is the interior. It will be in need of a rebuilt or new transmission in the next little while. We have had quotes on that repair and it might range from $2500-$3000. But it still drives great for now!! There is about 50,000 miles on it. Automatic windows, locks, CD, remote entry, great AC!, alloy rims. It gets fantastic gas mileage!! I bought it from the LDS church, it was a mission car. I love the car and am so sad to say good-bye to it, but the reason I'm selling it is that I just want to get out of debt a little quicker. I'm asking $12,000. I won't be ready to get rid of it until the end of the month so if you need time then thats fine.
