Putting up Christmas

This weekend I made the family put up Christmas lights, because...number one: I knew the snow was coming and if we didn't do it before that, then I knew it wouldn't happen at all...and number two: we didn't do it last year so I was going to make sure that it definately happened this year! I love Christmas lights! Hardly anyone does it anymore...holiday poops. Remember the good ol' days...like when all of Gentile was all lit up and everyone would drive down the road at night...way too slowly of course, but still that was the best. I miss those days when people actually got excited for the Holidays. Now days it seems like everyone dreads it, because of the retail craziness or the buying of gifts, whatever the reason, I miss it when everyone had their houses lit up and we couldn't wait for everything to start. I call for everyone, everywhere to try and enjoy this season...its up to you how you act and deal with the Christmas spirit. We must remember that it isn't about buying or honestly, even the giving of gifts isn't important. Its a celebration of the Savior and of loving one another, enjoying being with family and friends, loving every minute of the special feeling that can come if you let it!! So here are some pictures of our preparations.

Okay, I thought Tate was going to roll off the roof he was laughing so hard. When I looked up Dad was relaxing like this, so I asked him what magazine he was posing for and Tate about lost it!

I can't tell if they are arguing here, or discussing the best way to attach the shingle thingies to the lights...either way its a precious moment. haha

So October has been a crazy month for me....lots of happenings. Here is a review....the first weekend I talked my friend Beth into going on a road trip to San Fransisco with me...it was a blast...the best weekend I've had in a long time...one I will surely never forget ;) This is just a little of what we did. THANKS BETH FOR EVERYTHING!!!

The next weekend I was supposed to go to Omaha to visit a friend and while there was going to go to Nauvoo...unfortunatey I had to cancel because of some unforseen circumstances. Sad :( But I plan to go out as soon as I can swing it...hopefully soon. So those pictures will just have to be shown when I actually have them. haha

The next weekend I went to Wendover with some girls from work. It was a blast!! It was a much needed fun weekend away after a stressful couple weeks before that. So thanks to Aleisha especially and Makalah for that! (yes that is when I went to Chippendales...which was HILARIOUS, not gross)
